The official ceremony to mark the 54th Eid al Atihad – National Day of the United Arab Emirates – was held at the Zahed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, a work of Norman Foster.

Eid Al Etihad commemorates 2 December 1971, the day the seven emirates unified to form the UAE under the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
